RNA at Penn State
RNA Research at Penn State has undergone tremendous growth in the recent years. We have an active "RNA Club", where research groups come together and present their latest results and share ideas. Students present their findings and receive lively feedback from other students and principle investigators.

Our interests span a range of fields including RNA structure, enzymology, gene regulation, and virology. Meetings are on Fridays at 3:30 pm and the schedule can be obtained by contacting Phil Bevilacqua or Paul Babitzke.

Following is a list of research groups at the Penn State University Park campus that are involved in RNA Club. Hope to see you there some Friday!

Sally Assmann RNA metabolism in Arabidopsis

Michael Axtell Functional genomics of plant microRNAs and siRNAs

Paul Babitzke Regulation of prokaryotic gene expression by RNA structure and RNA-binding proteins

Phil Bevilacqua RNA folding, catalysis, and protein interactions

Craig Cameron RNA virus genome replication

Biao He RNA virus-host interactions

Ken Keiler Control of translation by tmRNA
